Jo Ann Langley Pearce

Jo Ann was born January 24, 1937 in Elton, Louisiana to Murray Langley and LaVerne Maxwell Langley and entered into rest on August 17, 2020 at her residence in Zwolle. She was a devoted and loving school teacher for many years who reached the hearts and minds of numerous students. She definitely left her special touch on every young person she came in contact with during her teaching career.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Murray Langley and LaVerne Maxwell Sellers; son, Mark Pearce; and daughter, Terri Pearce Cain. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Pearce of Zwolle; son, Richard Pearce of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and her first cousin, Sondra Self of Zwolle.

Funeral service for Tommy O’Con, age 64, of Robeline, were held on Monday, August 24, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Robeline. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Robeline.

Mr. O’Con was born on October 28, 1955, in Natchitoches and he died on August 20, 2020, in Shreveport after a brief illness. He was a member of the New Beginnings Apostolic Church of Bryant, Arkansas. Tommy was a dedicated Christian husband, father and grandfather. He died on “National Radio Day,” which was very fitting, as he was a talented radio announcer for many years and had recently created an online Southern Gospel/Contemporary Gospel radio station.

He was born December 7, 1947 in Ironton, Ohio to Ira Gillespie and Edna Ruth (Cox) Gillespie and entered into rest on August 9, 2020 at his residence.

He served honorably in the United States Army. Don enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to travel and on his many adventures he liked hunting and fishing especially in the northern states and also in Canada.

Jimmy Earl Bush was born on Tuesday, January 2, 1945 in Many. He passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his residence in Many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Bush and Agnus Ailene (Caldwell) Bush; brothers, Thomas Eugene Bush, Charles Edward Bush; and sister, Mary Lynn Kelly.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Bush of Many; daughters, Melissa Hankins and husband Terry of Many; Julia Bush and partner Chad of Florien; sons, Jimmy Bush and wife Kimberly of Metairie, Louisiana; Jared Bush and wife Tina of Lumberton, Texas; sister, Judy Henderson and husband Rocky of Houma, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Benjamin Partida, aged only 15, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Junction City, Kansas. He was born on July 22, 2005 in Gelnhausen, Germany, to his beloved parents Sergio and Jessica Partida. He was beginning his sophomore year at Junction City High School where he was a member of the track and soccer team. A sweet and quiet young man, Ben was known by his family and friends to be quick-witted, sarcastic, funny, kind, and most of all, caring.
