Sandra Sue Winfree

Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Winfree were held on November 30, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield with Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Interment was held at Converse Cemetery in Converse.

Sandra was born on October 5, 1951 in Zwolle to Tullos P. and Jennie Alice Shaw. She entered into rest on November 26, 2019 in Converse.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Glenn Winfree; along with three brothers and three sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, R.D. Winfree of Converse; sons, Johnny L. Winfree and wife Kimberly of Mansfield, Justin A. Winfree and wife Angela of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Josh Winfree and wife Terri of Converse, and Jordon Winfree and wife Reanna of Gloster, Louisiana; brothers, Clayton Shaw of Mansfield, and Dwayne Shaw and wife Barbara of Stonewall; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nathane Dean Callens was born on Thursday, March 14, 1991 in Shreveport. He passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his father, William Dean Callens; grandfather, William Clyde Callens.

Danny McCormick

Danny McCormick was born July 26, 1944, at Frasier Hospital in Many, Louisiana, to E.C. and Geneva McCormick. He attended school in Many and was very active in sports from junior high through high school. Danny was listed as a high school All American and was sought after by many colleges throughout the nation. He attended Louisiana Tech on a basketball scholarship.

Danny worked for many years in production with the oil company ODECO. He then attended Northwestern State University and received a degree in education. Working with children with various disabilities was his joy. He served as an Adaptive Physical Education teacher for Mansfield and North DeSoto schools.

James Richard Hendrickson was born on Tuesday, September 25, 1928 in Many. He passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 in Belmont. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ewell Ava Sandal Hendrickson; father, James Stabler; mother, Cassie Crittenden Harper; and sister, Sue Speight.

Funeral services for Charlotte Ann Weynandt, 74, of Katy, Texas were held on November 30, 2019 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Charlotte Ann Weynandt was born on Monday, December 11, 1944 in Many. She passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 in Katy, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Ray Weynandt by two years.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Holt; sons, Keith Weynandt of Katy, Texas, Andrew Weynandt of Tacoma, Washington; and grandson, Justin Weynandt of Katy Texas.

Gerald Carter Beasley

Gerald was born on January 16th 1950 at Frasier Hospital in Many Louisiana to G.A. “Buddy” & Lanell Beasley. He was the oldest of five children. His siblings were Richard, Bill, Steve & Kim.

Gerald began school at Negreet, had an interim in Chester, Montana & finished up at Many High School. Soon after graduating from Many High School, Gerald served in the United States Army.

He was an innovative and hard-working man, and after completing his term in the army, Gerald began a career in the Oil & Gas industry that carried him all around the world in many different capacities and spanned close to 50 years, touching thousands of people’s lives. Even today it’s not an uncommon thing to randomly encounter someone in a remote corner of the world that has either met or worked with him somewhere along the way.

Graveside services honoring the life of Billy Bray were held on November 15, 2019 at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Zwolle. Brother Jim Phaut officiated the service.

Billy G. Bray was born February 4, 1934 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Kelsie Cade Bray, Sr. and Leatha Windham Bray and passed away peacefully on November 12, 2019 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Bill received an Associate of Agriculture from Eastern Oklahoma State College. He served his country during the Korean War and later became a successful entrepreneur. He loved the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 51 years, Ida Bray; son, Bryan Bray, and brother, Kelsie Bray, Jr.

Bill is survived by son, Michael Bray; daughters, Cheryl Collins and Bonnie Rothenberger; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Kimmell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Douglas Eugene Arthur

Douglas Arthur, 76, of Milam, Texas passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at his residence.

Doug was born in Shreveport on January 30, 1943 to Boston Arthur and Isabelle “Alice” Bass Arthur. He was a graduate of Negreet High School and he worked as a truckdriver, or as he preferred to say, “Owner/Operator of a Truck” for 46 years.

Doug was raised in Negreet, Louisiana and later moved to Denham Springs, Louisiana where he and his family resided for 36 years. He and his wife, Fay, then moved to Milam where they have lived for the past 25 years. He was a member of Geneva Baptist Church. He was also a Master Mason in Louisiana.

He liked to watch football and basketball and he loved playing guitar and singing for the Sabine River Troubadours.
