Many Council seeks fairground improvements

The Many Town Council approved a motion to obtain a lease to manage the Sabine Parish Fairgrounds property during their July 20 meeting.

The town managing the property means that a number of development opportunities can be undertaken, and pools of money currently unavailable will become accessible.

“This doesn’t mean the town is completely taking over the fairgrounds,” Mayor Ken Freeman said. “There will be no major changes in who controls the property.”

The town has met with no objections from either the Sabine Parish Police Jury or Sabine Parish Fair Board.
