Roy Dennis (RD) Hildebrand

Roy Dennis Hildebrand left us after a short battle with cancer on January 29, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones at home in Bossier City, Louisiana. Roy was born April 8, 1957, to Roy and Peggy Hildebrand. He was a special and one-of-a-kind man, friend to many and incredibly generous. Roy loved sports and had the opportunity to play college basketball but chose to pursue his career in the oilfield. Roy spent 42 years working in Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and the last 15 years with XTO/Exxon Mobil in Tyler, Texas.

Roy and his wife Pamela relocated to Bossier City, Louisiana after his retirement to be closer to family and friends. Roy and Pam married on May 7, 1999, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. They enjoyed trips to Oklahoma, taking weekend rides in their antique cars while listening to old classics. Roy’s love for old cars was also shared with his brother, Bryan. He accepted Christ as his lord and savior as a young man at Mt. Heights Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA.

Those left to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 25 years Pamela Hildebrand, children Waylon Hildebrand (Kristin), Leana Lee (Dirk), Seth Waldon (Cristy), Shane Arnold (Angela), and Shad Arnold (Danielle). His grandchildren, Lily, Toby, Grayson, Joey, Brooklyn, Triston, Logan, Riley, Audrey, Lexi, and Kinsley. Siblings Tammie McCune (Jack) and Bryan Hildebrand (Carla).

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Roy Lee Hildebrand and Peggy Carter Hildebrand, grandparents Claude and Joy Gandy Carter and Gady and Pearl Deas Hildebrand.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hayden Hildebrand, Keith McCune, Noah Hildebrand, David Welborn, Alan Moreno, and Noah Moreno.

A special thank you to Roy’s first cousin Kenny Carter and close friend, Gene Young.

Graveside services celebrating the life of Roy Dennis (RD) Hildebrand will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kenny Carter and Pastor Gene Young. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana.
